The church is a “living organism” commanded to carry out the Good News of the Gospel to the streets of Lander and the “uttermost parts of the earth”. Our church is endeavoring to accomplish this task by personal witness, tract distribution, door to door visiting, ministering in nursing homes and jails, and the van ministry. A future vision would include helping establish other like-minded churches in nearby towns of Fremont County and the state of Wyoming.
We actively pray and endeavor to help missionaries going to the far realms of the world. In recent days, we have had the privilege of hosting several good families:
- The Will Klassen family – Planting the Gospel among the Mennonite people of Mexico.
- The David Lewis family - Church planting on the west side of Denver, in Aurora, CO.
- Rebecca Pope - Going to the Ivory Coast, West Africa, to extend the outreach of the local church through medical missions.
- Mike & Arlene Shanaberger - A unique ministry, making periodic trips to Malawi, Africa. Bro. Mike raises support and supervises the drilling of water wells for the churches in this poverty stricken country.
- The Mark Sprague family – Evangelist and pastor of a baptist church in Reserve, New Mexico.
- The Brett Swope family - The Swopes are missionaries to British Columbia and are endeavoring in August of 2009 to plant a church in Grand Forks, British Columbia.
- The Ryan Talkington family - Formerly stationed in Germany with the military and is returning to that country to carry the Gospel and plant churches.
